These are a few poetic excerpts. I remember them from a lovely book called Parikrima. It was a collection of poems and was the part of our curriculum in school.
Dono Ore Prem Palta Hai,
Priye, Patang to Jalta Hi Hai
Dipak Bhi Jalta Hai.
-Maithli Sharan Gupt
Viyogi Hoga Pehla Kavi,
Aah Se Upja Hoga Gaan,
Nikal Ker Nayanon Se ChupChap,
Bahi Hogi Kavita Anjaan.
- Sumitra Nandan Pant
Saanp !
Tum Sabhya Hue To Nahin,
Nagar Mein Basna,
Bhi Tumhey Na Aaya!
Ek Baat Poonchhoon -
Uttar Dogay?
Tab Kaise Seekha Dasna,
Vish Kahan Paya?
-Agyaye
These ones are not from Parikrama.
Chashm-e- Purnam, Bahi, Bahi, Na Bahi
Zindagi Hai, Rahi Rahi, Na Rahi,
Tumto Keh Do Jo Tumko Kehna Tha,
Mera Kya Hai, Kahi, Kahi, Na Kahi !
-Vinod Tiwari
Kewal Badal Nahin Aankh Ko,
Thodi si Dopahar Bhi Lena
Jeetey Jeete Marte Hain Sab,
Tum Marte Marte Jee Lena
Jab Thakan Sindhu Ho Jai,
Aur Chetna Lagey Doobne
Baith Hridaya Ke Madiralai Mein,
Tab -Tab Dard Sura Pee Lena.
-RamSanehi Lal Sharma 'Yayawar'
And the last one.
Ishq Ne Tere Pyar Mein,
Nikkamma Bana Diya
Mujhko Daddy,
Aur Tumko, Amma Bana Diya ;-)
-Pradeep Chaubey
Hope you enjoyed the stuff.
Did u appreciate these poems even when u were in school?
ReplyDeleteI enjoy Hindi Literature now only.may be because I always had very boring hindi teachers.
That day I brought hindi books of Class 12th to make up now what I missed then.
Good post.
Bye.
You have hit the bull's eye Vandy. I ( and most of my friends) treated Hindi as ghar ki murgi. Not much appreciation went about, though I must say we had a terrefic Hindi teacher.
ReplyDeleteLater,I realized the big mistake... and made up for what I had ignored during the school. In Pune, it difficult to find good hindi books.
but what made u write the last one by Pradeep Chaubey with such wonderful excerpts ...otherwise he is a good poet and does make us laugh in kavi sammelens..
ReplyDeleteHi Vandy,
ReplyDeleteIt was just a twist in the tale, I wanted to put :-) It was not intended to be a poetic jewel.
