Katha Sarita
A serial called Katha Sarita - Parsai Kehtey Hain is being telecasted on our good old DoorDarshan at 11 AM, every Sunday.
Its a teleseries based on legendry Harishankar Parsai's short stories, and it has been directed by Kundan Shah - the acclaimed director of mother of all satires - Jaane Bi Do Yaaron. Not to forget - Nukkad and Wagle Ki Duniya on DD.
For those who might not be aware, Parsai was one of the best satirist writer of the previous century. He has even written satires on himself. Had a short story - Bholaram Ka Jeev - in our curriculum of tenth standard, and its a classic and must read.
His famous short collections are Hanste Hai Rote Hai, Jaise Unke Din Phire. For his essay Viklaang Shraddha Ka Daur he has won Sahitya Academy Award.
First episode was telecasted yesterday - Aana Na Aana Ramkumar Ka. The coming short stories are - Ek Suljha Hua Aadmi, Ek Vaishvan Katha, Purana Khiladi.
